My previous experience in brand development as well as event & exhibition design and production gave me a deep insight into the needs of people entering a new space. That was and opportunity to scale Meanwhile uses into technology meaning to offer more opportunities to both space owners and users to make the most of empty space during their pauses of rent.
As Unlimited Meanwhile Ltd co-founder I led the design, funding, development and launch of the Cu-Cu App, website and new brand. I was on charge of the business planning, commercialisation strategy, funding and the system design to create and develop Cu-Cu’s platform. After months of market research and first feasibility studies, the business plan and commercialisation strategy was awarded by InnovateUK on June 2014.
The App development included to standardise and simplify the process to access vacant space into an online system, from policy to legal bureaucracies. I led the strategy in order to build capacity to Meanwhile Space CIC and other similar companies including private landlords and property developers to offer those spaces for community benefit and set up an agile administration system for them.
Now it has become Cu-Cu App to match commercial underused space owners with people looking for a space to grow their ventures in the UK. Spaces are available from one day to one year and are rent-free on interim basis.
